The kayak and supplies were great! Staff were very pleasant and helpful! The reason Im taking off a star is because there are other rentals that provide pulleys so you don’t have carry the kayak which can get pretty heavy depending on how far you have to go to get in the water. The staff showed us how to get the kayak on our car, told us how to set up the seats and guided us on the best way to get to the Flat island and the Mokes islands off Lanikai Beach. Staff were very upfront about the dangers of going out there. Maybe if I had known sooner I might not have gone but they assured us the waters were pretty calm so we should be safe. That said, if you’ve never kayaked before I’d opt to stay close to shore instead of trying to go to the islands. I went out with my boyfriend and our kayak flipped over. We were able to get back on it drama free but if you aren’t prepared to deal with that, this might not be the excursion for you because you are out there on your own. Pay the extra $3 for the seats, without them your back may be killing you the next day. Do the full day instead of half day if your going to the islands. Getting back is a task!! So renting a full day allows you to pace yourself and it’s only an extra $10. I’ve kayaked before and I wouldn’t do it alone. If you kayak often you’re good! If you plan on going with a friend, spouse or significant other… this will test your love!! My boyfriend and I became closer after this experience but agree due to fatigue and other factors we could have broken up 🤣 I’d def rent from them again but for the inexperienced kayaker play the extra money for the guided tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip with TwoGood Kayaks. Our guides (Ben and Byron) were fantastic. They had interesting information to share, very patient, made the whole group feel relaxed and safe, and above all were really fun to hang out with. Bob was very generous with his time and facility and helped accommodate us on our trip. We will definitely do this again if we go back to Oahu.

Me and my wife rented a clear tandem kayak to get to Kaneohe Sandbar. While booking over the phone we were told that the price for a clear tandem kayak (I explicitly asked twice if this will be a clear tandem) will be $65. A day before our booking I received a confirmation email with $65 as a price. Upon arrival we were charged $80. Apparently, clear kayak is $15 extra. The girl at the reception didn't want to work this out, claiming that the person who did our reservation is a new employee and is not aware of the price difference and the clear kayak is not in the system (thus the email amount). This was not an enjoyable service at all. Also, do not rent their "anchor" (a brick on a leash), since it is worthless. On the bright side - the guys who helped to load/unload the kayak onto/from the car did a really good job and were pretty helpful.
