This tour was very fun and exciting. Tour man Dan was our tour guide and he is very knowledgable about the horses and the farms and is very fun. He took us around to all the farms in the area telling us about the history and the major horses to come out of the farms. If you want to get up close to horses and know the history about horse racing and the farms in the Lexington than this is the tour to go on.

Daniel was our tour guide today. He picked us up right on time, we took the 1pm tour. It was a nice sunny afternoon 50 degrees. He was very personable and informative. My family enjoyed getting up close to many of the famous horses and taking pictures with them. Entered farms that are not open to general public. The tour is scheduled for 3 hours, I didn't know there was so much to see but we moved at a nice leisurely pace. Daniel made sure we stopped at many points of interest and for a brake if needed. We felt we definitely got our money's worth.

My wife and I were in Lexington, Ky on the 19th of October and wanted to tour some of the Horse Farms. I called several tour companies and decided to go with Thoroughbred Heritage Horse Farm Tours. Booking was very easy and the tour was exceptional. We were picked up at a Hotel in Lexington and began our tour at 1 P.M. The rest of the afternoon was delightful and relaxing. Our tour guide, Dan, was very knowledgeable and took us to the most beautiful farms in and around Lexington. He was very well know by the people at the farms and very knowledgeable about the racing industry. Calumet Farms was the highlight of our afternoon and the yearling auction was breathtaking. I had been to Lexington before and drove around the countryside trying to view some of the farms. This turned out to be unrewarding. But the tour made up for everything. If you're ever in Lexington and have an urge to see some of the Race Horse Farms, don't hesitate to Call this tour company and ask for Dan. You'll have the time of your life.
