Our tour guide was a racehorse trainer, He provided a lot of interesting "insider" information about horses and how they are trained. At Keeneland, he explained how betting works. We got to see and pet horses in their barns and in the fields. I was surprised how calm thoroughbreds are off the track. Just beautiful animals, and beautiful countryside. The tour time flew by. The tour guide had everyone's attention the whole time. This is a great tour for anyone

My husband and I along with our four girls (ages 13,11,5,3) ALL thoroughly enjoyed this tour! It was evident right from the start that "Tour Man Dan" was not just a walking encyclopedia for the thoroughbred horse world, but he is PASSIONATE about it, and you couldn't help but catch that enthusiasm! We saw beautiful farms, and were able to get up close and pet MANY beautiful champion thoroughbreds (we loved on a yearling descendant of Secretariat! How cool is that?!). We even got to meet an owner of one of the farms because he just happened to be out in the field checking on his mares. I was really surprised at how gentle these giant thoroughbreds were, especially with my little girls. A couple of them literally hugged my girls with their heads. SO sweet! One of the greatest experiences was our visit to Keeneland where we got to stand right at the rail and watch the jockeys breeze their horses.....WOW! is all I can say! I am still having dreams each night about those thundering thoroughbreds! It was an amazing tour with an amazing guide....very relaxed, not rushed. Pure fun! Thank you! Will be coming back to Lexington and Keeneland in April for the races!”

A must do when visiting the "thoroughbred capital" of the world! What absolutely made the tour for us, in addition to the small size of the group - seven in the van - was the tour guide, Nicholas Todd, who did an exceptional job, very friendly and knowledgeable. He has been in the horse business his entire life and provided us with insights only an industry insider would have. Try as we may, we could not stump him. His background and experience came through all during the tour. Nothing was scripted, as in other tours we've been on. It was more like visiting with and learning from a friend. The farms were amazing and we were able to get out interact with the horses, which made it even better. We booked this tour because it had such good reviews, and they were right!!”
