This 3+ hour family-owned thoroughbred heritage horse farm tour offers a fun and informative tour that will provide you with a unique experience and take you through the heart and soul of Kentucky’s beautiful Bluegrass Horse Country. This is an interactive tour were you will get to touch and pet some horses.

You will visit a private farm that is exclusive to us and has had winners of both the Preakness and Belmont Stakes and will have two in the Derby this year!

Whether or not you have ever been interested in Thoroughbred horses, this tour is a must! Our driver, Nickolas, was himself a trainer and from a family that has long been in the business and his background and experience came through all during the tour. He took us in and around Keenland Race Track explaining all about what happens and where. We visited multiple horse farms talking with trainers and grooms about their horses -- and had a grand time talking with and petting the horses themselves!! Who know, perhaps one of them will be the next Triple Crown winner!!

Some nice special stops on this tour. Some tours do not allow for the experience of actually touching/petting the thoroughbreds, but this outfit obviously has relationships with a few select farms which welcome it. Our guide Daniel was knowledgeable, personable and humorous! This is a great excursion for the money, and even if you're not a horse enthusiast, you will love it!

I brought a group tour to the area and wanted to include a visit to the Lexington area horse farms that would allow us some "behind the scenes" access. This tour was excellent! Our tour guide, Dan, was wonderful with the group and very knowledgeable. In addition, Linda, the person we set the tour up with was also very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend Throroughbred Heritage Horse Farm Tours to anyone interested in horses, racing and all that goes with it.
