This wonderful Colorado River float trip is a gently flowing section that is inviting to all ages. You’ll encounter a few small rapids as the Colorado River winds through the Gore Range and Mountain Ranchland. This is a relaxing day with time to sunbathe, swim or just relax and enjoy the day on your Colorado River rafting trip. The Colorado float half day trip is available two departures per day. This trip departs from our Kremmling Outpost, where you will check in and load an AVA vehicle for the 30-minute drive to the Colorado River. We run from Pumphouse Recreation Area to Radium on this trip.

AVA Colorado Rafting

When you arrive to our Kremmling Outpost, you will check-in with our front desk staff, gear up, meet your guide, then load up on our vehicle to shuttle over to the trip start location.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Great rafting trip down the Colorado River. Good for small kids and first timers. Staff is focused on safety while making sure you have fun. Victoria was great and not only helpful but had a lot of knowledge of the area. Highly recommend if in the area!

Family of 6, rafting for the first time. Kids ages 2 to 10. We had a Blast!!! Our boat driver was Christian and he was the best. You can request him for your trip. Christian had great knowledge of the river and its history, and shared plenty of corny jokes. Christian made a point to keep all of the kids engaged. AVA had everything covered to make it a great trip. Their setup was simple and conscientious of Covid restrictions. We felt safe from covid and any other risks from a rafting trip. Our trip was their lightest trip, but all of us had a great time and we will definitely sign up again.

My family and I wanted to have a positive first experience with white water rafting. I cannot say enough on how perfect the AVA tour was! When we arrived, we were immediately greeted by friendly staff and given instruction on what to expect. The bus ride to the launch spot was beautiful. Our driver, Carrie, was confident and experienced getting us there. Our guide was Devo. We love, love, loved him! Not only was he hilarious, but he knows the river like the back of his hand! He intermingled his vast knowledge of geology with cute jokes that were kid friendly. Also worth noting, it was easy to see that the other staff at AVA work together well and love what they do. Definitely try the cliff jump- don't be scared! So worth the exhilarating feeling of the cold river water. Overall, you will leave feeling a sense of amazement and laughter. It was absolutely perfect!
