This wonderful Colorado River float trip is a gently flowing section that is inviting to all ages. You’ll encounter a few small rapids as the Colorado River winds through the Gore Range and Mountain Ranchland. This is a relaxing day with time to sunbathe, swim or just relax and enjoy the day on your Colorado River rafting trip. The Colorado float half day trip is available two departures per day. This trip departs from our Kremmling Outpost, where you will check in and load an AVA vehicle for the 30-minute drive to the Colorado River. We run from Pumphouse Recreation Area to Radium on this trip.

What To Expect

AVA Colorado Rafting

When you arrive to our Kremmling Outpost, you will check-in with our front desk staff, gear up, meet your guide, then load up on our vehicle to shuttle over to the trip start location.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

It was our first time and it won't be the last! Our guide, Christine, was knowledgeable, patient, and funny! Tyler got us to and from the launch site safely. It was a mellow float as we were late in the season and specifically wanted to ease into rafting. We're hooked! We're looking forward to doing a full day on a Class III in the Spring and will consider AVA our first choice. Highly recommend!

Perfect activity for those who are new to rafting! Calm enough water (few small rapids) that you get the rafting experience while also Learning technique. We had guide Victoria who did a great job, she even had our team rescue a young kayaker who was struggling. Main guide Graham also very friendly and informative when we first arrived. Thanks for the experience!

Online booking (and subsequent re-scheduling) was easy; very responsive and helpful staff. Our group ranged in age from teens to 70s and we all found something to enjoy about the trip. Skilled guides made the trip safe, but a lot of fun. Looking forward to another with them.
