Our family of three thoroughly enjoyed our half-day rafting trip with Glacier Raft Company. It was out first time whitewater rafting, and with an adult non-swimmer in our group, I emailed in advance to ensure he could join in the fun. Our guide, Doc, went out of his way to connect with everyone on our raft during his very thorough and entertaining safety lessons (and we were a diverse group of conservationists, a doctor, a historian, a lobbyist, an accountant, a security guard, and a teenager). While calmer conditions would have made some of the rapids a little less thrilling, doc maneuvered the boat into situations we discussed and rehearsed in advance so everyone in the boat could be soaked at least once and feel the exhilaration of a controlled moment of concern. In addition to learning about safety and rafting, doc gave a narrative history of the river, the National Park, and how and why the area has developed over the last 250 years (yes, he discussed the French voyagers). So first, stop searching for a raft company and choose Glacier Raft. Doc kept our group of four rafts together while another company blew past us clearly trying to make a daily quota and separating their very large group of at least 12 rafts. Second, when you book for any trip, whether it's whitewater or a leisurely float, ask for Doc. You will have a great time.

Thank you Mona for your detailed review. We have been a small family run business since 1976 and focus on the quality and safety of our trips for all our guests. We are so glad that you had a great time on the river with Doc. Come back and see us again if you are ever in the area.

My adult daughter and I headed to Glacier national park for a short visit. We booked a 1/2 day whitewater raft plus dinner. The weather wasn't the greatest but our guide in her rookie season was great. She kept us all entertained and safe. I also thought all the other guides were engaged with their people as well. I'm usually weary of a dinner addition but I dated a raft guide in college and he always bragged about their dinner spread. I decided that it would make things easier than getting ready and going to dinner. Because of rain we needed to drive to a wedding pavilion a short distance. Yes, I was happy with the dinner! Steaks cooked to your desired temp with a delicious salad and baked potato. Simple yet worth the extra 30 each. Because it was cold they served hot chocolate which I needed but maybe a little hot apple cider? I would like to return to the park for a longer trip sometime. When I do, I'll be booking with Glacier raft again!

Our guide Nick was fantastic. Very entertaining with our 3 boys. I loved that he grew up in the area and is exceptionally knowledgeable about the river and it’s history. We did the raft trip and dinner, and the food was excellent. Maddy works the grill like a pro. Thanks for the great adventure!
