We went Aug. 27 2024. Our guide was Morgan. I hope I spelled her name right, if she replies I will correct it if I’m wrong. My apologies if I didn’t. To start off our experience, the bus ride was a hoot! The jokes etc was great. I will say the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because the thrill we were seeking in the rapids were not there, the majority of the trip was just like floating down a lazy river. I knew it wasn’t going to be crazy because we didn’t have a class of instructions or practice before entering the water as on our previous rafting experience. Our guide said, the time of year & water level makes all the difference in the rapids & it’s not controlled by a dam release which is what my husband and I are use too. I do love that everything is natural & protected.
I loved Morgans honesty as she told us once we got into the boat it’s not going to be the kind of thrill we were all looking for as the water is low making sure our expectations weren’t crushed. We didn’t see any wildlife, and we only got a little water on us. Morgan is a really cool & friendly young lady, a great guide! The best part is when Morgan said to our group that this was the best rafting experience she ever had. That made my day! 🥰🤗 I believe she was sincere & didn’t just say that to be saying that. Ohhh & the wrestling part with another guide as he jumped on our boat and tried to throw her in the water. 🤣he didn’t win! We had her back!! To sum up the experience it’s great if you have kids or not. You make it what you want. The only thing that was missing was the thrill of the rapids. If that was there I would seriously have given a 5 star because ultimately that was what we’re seeking and expecting. We just picked the wrong time of the year. Everything else was great. 😊
