What an amazing experience. Jay was one of the best guides I have ever met. He has a wealth of knowledge about Hawaii and was able to answer pretty much any and all questions. He made the entire tour so good! Thanks a lot for making our trip to Kauai that much better!

Aloha David, Actually, was Jay's birthday yesterday. Thanks for reminding us how good Jay is as a guide. Your guide Jay wears a few hats at Kayak Kaua'i, and one of them is managing both our sea and river kayak programs, making sure that we keep raising the bar and retain only quality guides and equipment. The above said we try to get him frequently out of the office and into the field where he shines as you learned. Will share you kind words and hope to see you back in the water again. A hui hou, Micco

We had. very good communication about the day’s activities. We were staying in Princeville and they picked us up very close to our hotel, which saved us time. Our guide provided a detailed explanation of the scenery and surrounding area

Aloha Jerome, Glad you had fun. You got to come back for our Hanalei Blue Lagoon tour so we can earn and max out the "dots" at 5 and not a "lowly" 4. (smiling face) Our guides are equipped to keep you safe within the beautiful Hanalei panorama while keeping you informed historically and culturally. Thanks for taking the time to share. Koa was a great guide and patient with a novice like me. I should have been in a 2-person kayak or at least been assisted better with properly securing the seat back. Snorkeling was disappointing....not many visible. The river and bay scenery still make the trip a thumbs up.

Aloha Jeff, With odd numbered groups we generally have one client go in a single; we prefer to keep everyone in doubles for the ease of paddling and of keeping the group together. In winter snorkeling can be quite good depending on the how the Hanalei River empties and big surf which can conspire to make it murkier. That said, as you discovered…the panorama of Hanalei Bay and the back drop of cliffs festooned with distant waterfalls and sometimes rainbows, can be dramatic. Thanks for the "4 dots" and for taking the time to share as I will with your guide Koa. A hui hou, Micco
