First, I just want to say the driver, Roger, was very nice and organized. The pick up and drop off at the bay was great.
There were 10 people in our group. Within an hour of drop off, 3 people had been stung by jellyfish including my husband. One of the other people had to be taken off in an ambulance. At least 2 of us called the tour company to see if they could come back and get us because it was still a couple of hours until the pickup time. The man on the phone was rude and unhelpful. I understand if the vans are committed to other routes and it's not possible to do an early pick up but a nice and understanding attitude goes a long way. Ultimately we took an Uber back to our hotel which was $50. Just a word of warning, jelly fish are common in this area for 3-4 days each month. I wish we had known going in. Check the University of Hawaiis jelly fish calendar before scheduling. Also, know that you are on your own if anything happens.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear Roger provided great service during the pick-up and drop-off. However, we are truly sorry to hear about the jellyfish stings and the inconvenience that followed. We weren’t aware that there were multiple groups on the same day, but had we known, we would have gladly offered an alternative.
We always strive to be understanding and helpful in such situations, and we sincerely apologize if the phone support didn’t meet your expectations. Your safety and comfort are very important to us, and we’ll take your feedback into account as we work to improve.
We also appreciate the tip about checking the jellyfish calendar—it’s something we’ll be sure to pass along to future guests.
Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we hope your husband has recovered fully.
