I know it's hard to get reservations last-minute, but the weather can have a significant impact on this destination. We secured tickets weeks in advance, only to be confronted with strong trade winds, rainstorms, and a high tide on the day of our trip. It was like trying to snorkel in an old-fashioned, agitator-type washing machine. And despite the state's heroic efforts to constrain the crowds, I still saw more snorkel fins than fish.

Hanauma Bay is most often a great experience. The driver was personable. The pick up was a problem. I was sent to a hotel but the actual pickup spot was across the street. Frustrating until the driver came to get me.

Friendly driver and easy instructions to get in and out. Wonderful snorkeling. Everything was easy and smooth. Wish there was a pick up and drop off at Hilton Hawaiian Village.
