Went on the Harlem Hip Hop walking tour with my 15 year old son who is a huge hip hop fan. It is hard to find things to do these days that interest him. The weather the day we went was not that great (snow in April??) but the tour was still worth it. We started out at the Museum of the City of NY (you get free museum admission included in hip hop tour ticket) with a break dance performance and then they involved the kids in the group and taught them a few moves. Very fun. After that we left on our tour. Not only did we learn about the origins of hip hop music and get to visit some interesting spots like the Graffiti Wall of Fame and the Apollo Theater but our guide, Rayza shared a lot of interesting information about the Harlem area past and present and the Bronx as well. And most importantly, my 15 year old enjoyed it immensely and said it was his favorite part of this NYC trip.

My brother and I did the 'Walk this was through Harlem tour' on February 25th and it was a highlight of our trip to NYC. Our guide Reggie was very friendly and informative and I'd recommend this tour to anyone not just interested in Hip Hop but also the history of New York and Harlem.
