Soul Food is traditional African American cuisine that originated in the South in the United States. Today it has become a highly sought after cuisine. It consists of spicy ribs, collard greens, fried fish and chicken, freshly cooked corn bread, and a few side dishes like black eye peas, okra, or macaroni and cheese to mention a few.
Guests are invited to take walks through the neighborhoods visited. The average walk is about 15 minutes.
With advance notice, wheelchair bound customers with some mobility can be accommodated in the front rows of the tour bus with their wheelchairs folded away in the luggage compartment. It is mandatory that someone accompany customers with special needs to assist them onto the coach.
For passengers with no mobility or a non foldable wheelchairs we recommend giving at least 3 weeks notice so that we can secure a coach with a wheelchair lift.
Wheelchair lifts are 49" X 28" and can carry a maximum weight limit of 700lbs. We kindly ask that you submit the dimensions and model of the chair as our lift may not be able to accommodate scooters and other large sized electric chairs. A maximum of one person in a wheelchair can be accommodated per bus.
Many of the churches that we visit have steps. In order to accommodate their wheelchair bound congregation members churches use portable mobility ramps.

We totally loved this tour and would do it again without hesitation. Anthony our guide was fantastic , so knowledgeable and one could feel his passion for his city and Harlem. He is without doubt an asset to this group. The gospel singing was sensational and we were made to feel very welcomed If visiting New York do the Sunday morning gospel tour as you will not be disappointed. Thankyou Anthony !

It's an absolut must do... Great tour, stopping several times in Harlem, with clear, precise and factual information by a top notch guide Antonio (who is a local NYorker and Harlem resident) Harlem history and development, main places such as the Apollo teather (astonishing piece of art contemporary history and well knowed artists)... The visited church (in the Bronx) was quite friendly and offered us all a warm reception. Top services, with gospel that leave us with goosebumps... I have been wanting to do this experience for years know, and my only regret is to not have done it before... I will for sure repeat it over and over.... Allways on sundau morning!!!

The tour guide and bus driver were great. The information given as the bus was passing areas was most informative. The church service wasn't what I had expected, having done a couple in other cities in the south. It was hard to hear people using the microphone but not the singers who went on and on... Negative: Also I called to see about getting off at the church instead of going all the way back downtown... The lady I spoke with got all defensive and rude with my question. I got a lecture about "we are not a shuttle service...." all I wanted to know is if I could only go on the tour through the church part. The man I spoke with confirming my reservation was polite.
