We’ve walked through this neighborhood many times over the years and took everything at face value. Finally, eager to learn more, we signed up for a tour by Freida. It’s amazing to see this neighborhood through her eyes and her POV. She grew up in this community and struck ggyout on her own at age 25. She provides fascinating personal insight and details about life among this Hasidic community. Highly organized. Excellent attention to detail. Nice stops in a few local businesses and a final stop at a terrific deli run by members of the community. Freida is open to all questions and creates an excellent dialog about the pros and cons of this religious community.

Frieda’s tour through the Hasidic community in Williamsburg was even more than I anticipated. She was very open but sensitive to the lifestyle of the community members. We had an opportunity to visit many different businesses and also to try different Jewish foods. Highly recommended!

Little knowledge about something is dangerous, so getting a nuanced inside perspective on this unique community is impertive! That and much more, in a very personal way, is how I experienced this tour by Frieda. I thank her for being so forthcoming & courageous, and also regard her tour as a must do in NYC. She is outstanding!
