Walking the streets of Williamsburg with Frieda opened a window into a world hidden in plain sight. Frieda made clear what day-to-day life in the Hasidic community looks, feels, and even tastes like. She opened our minds--and our hearts--to what it means to live in a world that rejects much of what 21st century America considers essential. Frieda's ability to describe the texture of daily life in a Hasidic community made for an exceptional few hours. The food tasting that was part of the tour was outstanding and, literally, added sweetness to the experience.

Frieda gives an amazing and informative tour. I have read several books about Hasidm, but Frieda gives her visitors what these books could not - an insiders perspective into daily life and culture in this community. Frieda gives an honest assessment of the community by detailing both positive and challenging aspects of living the Hasidic life. I particularly appreciated her willingness to answer tough questions from the group honestly. Thank you, Frieda!
