I've lived in Brooklyn for 25 years, but this was the first time I gained real insight into the fascinating Hasidic culture of Williamsburg. Through Frieda's personal experience and her willingness to share her own journey, I gained factual information along with real sympathy for this community, and also tremendous admiration for this brave young woman. I highly recommend this tour for both tourists and locals alike.

A fascinating glimpse into the Satmar Hasidic community who are set apart in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Our guide Freida was engaging, knowledgable and charming. The only way to get any insight into this world is through one of Visit Hasidim's tours.

Frida was once part of the Hasidic religion and so her insights into this fascinating life were personal and detailed. We walked the streets that she is so familiar with and she described the customs of every day life - a life so different from my own. If you want to get an insight into a culture living within NY city but really very separate this is the tour for you. Frida's honesty and generosity make this a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.
