This tour is a little-known gem in Hasidic Williamsburg, led by Frieda Vizel, who was raised in the Satmar Hasidic Jewish sect. The tour aims to bring you to a deeper, humanizing understanding of Haisidic life. Groups are small so visitors can get to know each other, and the tour price includes food stops and audio equipment!

Frieda's tour of the Hasidic community in Williamsburg is excellent and well worth doing. As a former member of the community and someone who has done academic research on various aspects of their practices, her tour provides a very personal narrative as well a wealth of cultural, historic and religious information. This is a community which is rarely accessible to outsiders despite having an important presence in NYC and, more specifically, Brooklyn. The opportunity to get a meaningful, articulate and intimate view into their unique world is very special. I highly recommend Frieda's tour.

This is one of the most interesting tours I've ever taken. Frieda's first-hand experience and well-prepared manner make this tour highly valuable. As she walks you through the neighborhood, she teaches you about the history, marriage customs, economy, and food, which she provides and is quite delicious. We took the tour on a Friday, so we had the chance to see families doing their errands to prepare for Shabbos and to taste delicious Challah bread. I can't recommend this tour enough, and I think I will probably take it again on a future visit to New York.

Frieda Vizel shares a unique Ana comprehensive perspective regarding Hasidic life in Williamsburg. I attended the tour with friends and would like to organize another tour with Frieda so that my family and some of my close friends can learn from Frieda. Frieda has great energy and was willing to patiently answer all of our questions. What makes this tour unique is her personal story and relationship with the community. I highly recommend this tour.
