I absolutely loved this experience! Everything about this tour exceeded my expectations. Frieda is an excellent guide. Her encyclopedic knowledge of the social, historical, geographical, philosophical underpinnings of Hasidic Judaism in Williamsburg is matched by her deeply felt personal experience as a member of the community. This is a tour for the mind and the heart. And, considering the incredibly delicious food we sampled, it's a also a tour for the tongue.

Twelve friends and I horoighly enjoyed the tour of Hasidic Williamsburg hosted by Frieda. She is a phenomenal story teller; we were spellbound for two hours. Not only did she share tidbits from her personal life with us, Frieda seemed to have an unlimited amount of patience in answering questions about the Hasidic community and its customs. We visited many important sites and tasted yummy food: challah and rugelach and many kinds of kugel. Take the tour. You will love it!

Frieda combines first hand experience growing up in the Hasidic community, with a wonderful approach to educating folks about key life-cycle events. She is warm, funny and respectful. This tour is great for anyone who is interested in learning about what it's like to live in a Hasidic community -- whether you know a lot about it or you don't know anything, you will have an amazing experience on this walking tour!
