Haunted Pub Tour

Overview
Portland's longest running Ghost Tour with 300+ 5 star reviews. The city's wicked and wild history will blow you away!

On this spine-tingling walking tour, you will uncover Portland’s dark side. In the early 1900s, unsuspecting sailors were often ruthlessly abducted and wisked away through the notorious Shanghai Tunnels. We will entertain you with stories of how notorious local gangsters managed to kidnap thousands of people off the streets and why their ghosts still haunt the city today.

Our tour guides are local historians and ghost hunters who love to share their passion with you. We LIVE for seeing our guests eyes light up and hearing an audible gasp at the end of a spooky tale.

Stops include the famous merchant hotel, home to Nina Portland's most famous ghost. Friday and Saturday tours will include 6 local beer samples. Thursday and Sunday tours include two16 ounce beers. The tour is rated ‘mildly’ spooky and is a 50:50 mixture of wicked history and hauntings.

My wife and I went on the haunted pub tour on a Tuesday. We were surprised by how many people showed up for a Tuesday night tour. Our guide Kristen was great. We enjoyed the spooky stories and found the different historical stories about Portland's history really interesting. It definitely makes for a fun night and you can grab some donuts at Voodoo after!

My husband & I enjoyed the haunted beer tour. I really enjoyed learning the history of Portland including the ghosts. Two pubs had a good selection of different beers to try. Our two host were very friendly and helpful answering our questions about Portland. The walking part of the tour is very easy. Our group was very friendly to each other and good time was had by all.

Being first-time visitors to Portland, we wanted to know more about the city. The Haunted Pub Tour conducted by our Uh-may-ziiing tour guide Tyler not only gave us some history about underground life, gangsters and tales of criminals, but he also dropped some serious knowledge about buildings in downtown Portland which are haunted! Dah! Throw in some delish beers and pizza slices into the mix and you'll forget you're partying amongst ghosts and spirits. We walked away with more intrigue about Portland and its history. Can't wait to learn more. Cheers to getting Shanghai'd in this awesome city whilst on the Haunted Pub Tour!
