Take an adventure and experience an important part of Hawaiian history on this 1-hour canoe tour in Maui. Paddle a traditional Hawaiian outrigger canoe while learning about the ancient art of Wayfinding and Celestial Navigation used by early Hawaiian voyagers. Departing Wailea Beach, you'll paddle along Maui's scenic south shores and view an abundance of marine life, including endangered green sea turtles! Come see the Kohola, or Humpback whales Nov-April during their seasonal migration!

We signed up for this through our hotel (Hotel Wailea) expecting a fun water adventure, and got that and even more with the cultural education Kevin provided. We loved learning about Hawaiian history and culture, and got to see several sea turtles very close up. Magical and wonderful! Kevin even sent a video/photos of the experience to us as we left. 10/10 would recommend.

I hate to give a bad review, but this trip was really disappointing. Booked this for the cultural experience, but none of the things mentioned in the description was done: there was very little information about Hawaiian culture & history and about the canoe and the chanting didn’t happen either. We did get a lot of information about turtles, which was nice, the guide was friendly and the paddling was fun, but this just wasn’t what I came for- especially after reading other reviews I wonder if we just got a bad day or if something changed in the organization. People joining me on this trip felt the same, so we all left disappointed. Also we started the tour 20 minutes too late, but the guide said we had to be back at 11 because the “VIPs” were coming then. Sorry I’m not very important, but I still paid good money for this (and it wasn’t that cheap).

A truly once in a lifetime experience to row as a crew in an outrigger while learning about the islands and history of ocean navigation. We were treated with excellent care from start to finish. Location near Hotel Wailea and parking was made very simple to arrive and plan. Mahalo to Kevin and team for your continued efforts in paying Aloha and Ohana spirit forward.
