Overview

The ultimate multi activity package: a helicopter tour, a dogsled tour and a landing on the lower glacier to explore the melt pools and crevasses.

Start this adventure with a spectacular helicopter ride over glaciers and icebergs. We often see moose, black bears, Dall sheep and mountain goats. Land on a huge snow field high on a glacier and enjoy a whole hour with Alaskan sled dogs and their mushers that live here all summer long. Take the dog team for an exhilarating dogsled ride through real snow. You can stand on the runners and mush your own dog team if you want, or just sit on the sled and let the mushers run the team.

After the tour the helicopter takes you to the lower glaciers where you will land on the hard ice between the crevasses to see the majestic blue melt pools.

Due to comfort and weight / balance of the aircraft, passengers weighing over 250 pounds including clothing and luggage will be required to pay a surcharge of $150. This is payable directly to the tour operator on the day of the tour.

Awesome trip worth every penny! All guides were knowledgeable and pleasant! The pilot was also a fabulous photographer and I was able to purchase some cool photos.

Initially booked Helicopter Glacier Dog Sledding, but tacked on the Glacier Landing & Guided Walk after completing the glacier dog sledding/mushing with Gaby. Well worth the additional $113 USD per person. Steve our pilot, guide and photographer was fantastic. If you’re ever in Anchorage Alaska definitely consider doing this tour. The dog sledding was on our bucket list, but the glacier landing & guided walk was the icing on the cake. A job well done to Steve and Alaska Helicopter Tours. You’ll kick yourself if you come all this way to Anchorage Alaska and don’t do this tour. Will it take you out of your comfort zone? Probably. Will it be the experience of a lifetime? Most definitely. Cheers to Steve, Gaby and all of the wonderful huskies for making our day, and to Kevin for getting us there and back.

I was on my first trip to Alaska and I highly recommend this place the accommodations were top notch and the helicopter was great. The dog sled teams were so cool and all the dogs were good and friendly. All of the staff were awesome and very helpful. 10/10.
