Overview

The ultimate multi activity package: a helicopter tour, a dogsled tour and a landing on the lower glacier to explore the melt pools and crevasses.

Start this adventure with a spectacular helicopter ride over glaciers and icebergs. We often see moose, black bears, Dall sheep and mountain goats. Land on a huge snow field high on a glacier and enjoy a whole hour with Alaskan sled dogs and their mushers that live here all summer long. Take the dog team for an exhilarating dogsled ride through real snow. You can stand on the runners and mush your own dog team if you want, or just sit on the sled and let the mushers run the team.

After the tour the helicopter takes you to the lower glaciers where you will land on the hard ice between the crevasses to see the majestic blue melt pools.

Due to comfort and weight / balance of the aircraft, passengers weighing over 250 pounds including clothing and luggage will be required to pay a surcharge of $150. This is payable directly to the tour operator on the day of the tour.

Absolutely an amazing experience dogsled was some much fun. The glacier landing was the best thing l have ever done. I would highly recommend doing the experience. Alaska Helicopter tours are very professional with friendly staff !

A bucket list item for sure! It was everything listed online but really words can’t describe the experience of landing on a glacier or riding a dogsled on the glacier with itarod-trained dogs. Spectacular!

We had the most exciting and adventurous trip of our lives! Although I was unable to upload spectacular photos, we had experiences beyond description! Dallas Seavey’s Iditarod camp was over the top in beauty and had an exceptional staff of kindness, knowledge and attention!
