This was the second time I have taken a Walk in the Woods Tour. The first time was a couple of years ago with my family of four. It was a walk geared for kids and it was great. I decided to go again and brought along my in laws, and other extended family and new baby duaghter. We were a group of 10 with four kids and a baby. We did the Stroll Back in Time Tour. The tour was great. The Smoky Mountains are beautiful and our guide Cindy was outstanding. She took her time with our group and explained much about the surroundings and history of the area. She seemed to love her job and it showed in the enthusiam she showed when conducting the tour. The group all loved the experience. I cant wait to go back again. The Walk itself was 2 and a half hours and was adverstised as easy with some moderate spots. We had two seniors with us, a four year old and I carried my ten month old. Everyone was able to complete the walk with no problems. Our guide made sure the pace was good for the whole group and no one was left behind. If you go on this tour a camera is a must. The pictures you can get are amazing.

Vesna, a co-owner, was extremely friendly and informative on the phone, and helped us plan our trip. We enjoyed a half-day hike with Charles, who was particularly knowlegable about edible plants. He was delighted to talk about the sights and history along the way. Then we had a wonderful all-day hike with Mike in Smoky Mountain National Park on Wednesday, on the trail to Ramsey Falls. We enjoyed getting to know him, and hearing his lore and stories about the park, and what's known about it (and not known!). His knowlege and passion were infectious. We especially enjoyed his cheerful enthusiasm, and his rapport with our (not-always-enthusiastic) 14 year old son, which made the day especially enjoyable for all of us. In retrospect, we could have followed maps to take these walks ourselves, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. But having knowlegable guides dramatically increased our enjoyment. These walks were a highlight of our trip. Highly recommended.

Our seniors group travels to a new destination every winter and we chose the Smokies for this year. We were thrilled to have found such a top notch group of tour guides. From the customer service while booking to the care the guides took on the tour, we all felt like we were in great hands during our various walks through the park. The beauty of the mountains, to gentle pacing of our guide, the delicious wild edibles we were given to try, the education we received was all top notch. The highlight of our trip was sitting by a waterfall sipping excellent tea while our guides told engaging stories of the area. We will indeed be back!
