Overview

A fast and fun wildlife adventure awaits your family aboard our zodiac-style vessels (rigid inflatable boats). This cruise of up to 20 passengers gives you a thrilling 2-hour look at Southern California’s year-round whales and dolphins. With speeds of 30 knots or more, you’ll spend less time looking for animals and more time enjoying them! Your zodiac adventure will have you incredibly close to the ocean’s surface and within arm’s reach of wildlife. At the conclusion of your cruise, you'll receive one of Mrs. Capt. Dave's famously delicious Triple Fudge Brownies. (Some folks love the brownies more than the whales!)

We are a certified Responsible Whale Watching partner with the World Cetacean Alliance located in Dana Point, CA, the Dolphin and Whale Capital of the World®, and the first Whale Heritage Site in the Americas.

Absolutely everything! From the online process which was easy to our arrival to riding the zodiac and arriving back safe and sound. Very knowledgeable and nice captain Marie and first mate Michael. Kimberly at the front desk too. Could not have had a better time. Zodiac ride was fun and adventurous but not scary in any way. Saw two huge pods of dolphins. Would definitely do it again.

Went out with my 8year old. We loved the zooming on the boat. No whales today but had some great views and interaction with bottlenose and common dolphins plus seals. An experienced team on board and felt very welcomed to Daves whale watching family! My only tip would be to have kids in a comfy life jacket from start as in the uk this is expected as normal.

Everything from booking, followup and the trip were so well organized. More importantly, the trip was awesome! My family of 4, including 2 teen daughters absolutely loved seeing the pod of dolphins we ended up in. We see dolphins often, since we live in Fla, but there were hundreds all around and so close to the boat. Still excited over that, we were lucky enough to see a blue whale momma and her baby! There is only a very short time period when they migrate through so it was just incredible seeing them! The boat was clean, comfortable and always felt safe! The captain, crew and staff were all experts and just wonderful. Highly recommend!
