Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

My wife, myself and my in-laws enjoyed this so much the first time we went on the tour that we scheduled another go around when visiting Charleston with some friends. Our second tour wasn’t quite as good as our first. Maybe it’s because our interests lied more in Charleston’s role in the revolutionary and civil wars and this particular tour seemed to revolve around architecture. While we appreciate architecture, and it is interesting, we wanted a more rounded tour. That’s not to say this tour wasn’t good, because it was good, but because we had a certain expectation having done this tour before I had to give the four stars rather than the five on this occasion.

Amazing tour filled with a lot of historical info. The tour guide is very helpful and answered and and all questions. He also provided us several recommendations on restaurants and bars. If you do a tour, you should do this one for sure.

Tour guide was brusque but tour was nice. Mostly about historic homes. Be prepared for lots of walking..
