Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour and Bill was an excellent tour guide! His knowledge and and enthusiasm for history and the city of Charleston was interesting and infectious! I would definitely recommend this tour and would love to take additional tours by him or his colleagues on a return visit to the area.

Right from the start, Bill Harris captured our full attention and kept it for over 2 hours!! At first glance, he is this handsome, blue eyed tour guy, but heā€™s soooo much more!! He is a captivating + engaging speaker, who is passionate about Charleston!! He is a brilliant man and a true historian filled with a wealth of knowledge!! He is truly devoted to sharing correct information to all!! You will be entranced with his charm and down to earth Soulfulness!! He was even wonderful with our 11 year old daughter, patiently answering all her questions and encouraging her to continue her curiosity. Do not look any further ... Bill is truly the best tour guide ever!!!

Palmer did a fabulous job. She was engaged, funny and informative. You learn more on a walking tour than on a bus tour.
