Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

Fantastic tour! We took the early tour in August and there was plenty of shade to stay cool. Tour guide was great!! Highly recommend.

One of the best walking tours I have been on. The guide (Bill Harris) had excellent communication skills and knowledge of Charleston's history and culture. More than just a tour of the sites, Mr. Harris added many fascinating details to give a good picture of the customs, social institutions, achievements, and stumbling blocks of Charleston's early life. Definitely a recommended tour.

Coach, our tour guide and retired teacher, did an excellent job. It is the most comprehensive tour we have had of Charleston. This walking tour was much more detailed than the carriage rides and bus tours we have done in the past. We would have enjoyed another two hours just to see more of the Holy City and learn more from Coach. Allow 2.5 hours for this walking tour.
