Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

Highly recommend Oyster Point! We enjoyed a more intimate, expansive tour of the charming city. Oyster adds more history, stories and personal touches than what I overhear of the massive other tours walking around the city. We had Alexandra and she was absolutely wonderful. She is fun, personable and very knowledgeable. We highly recommend her as a guide. It felt that we learned the major parts of the city and intimate parts that know one would even know.

My wife and I did highlights of Charleston the first day and a private civil war lecture/tour following day. Bill was one e best guides we have ever had and we have travelled the world. He is as smart and knowledgeable as anyone I have ever met. The real bonus is his great sense of humor. I highly recommend Oyster Point Tours.

My husband and I loved Bill's tour. It was recommended by the hotel we were staying at and was exactly what we were hoping for and more - great history of the city, highlights of the "must see" areas, but with a much more thorough undercurrent of history than pointing out a few landmarks. Bill is highly knowledgeable about the city and wider history and also hilarious, which made the tour really fun. Check it out!
