Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

William is a gifted tour guide! We thoroughly enjoyed every minute and every step of his informative and entertaining walking tour. This is not your average scripted tour, but one which delves quite deeply into the social, religious and economic realities of Charlestonā€™s history and its effects on the country as a whole. Easy walking with frequent pauses, usually in the shade. Thank you, Bill, for bringing Charleston alive for us.

Bill exceeded our expectations today. His knowledge, charisma, and overall passion for his job left us extremely impressed. When I take a historical tour in any city, I want the facts; pieces of information that I canā€™t easily get from a book or a website. This experience definitely checked all the boxes! If you want the real stories, told in a lively fashion, ask for Bill!

Our recent tour was on Sunday afternoon, April 28th. We chose this particular walking tour over others after reading several reviews and comments, and we were very, very pleased. Palmer was our guide, and she was a joy to follow all over Charleston. She was a pleasure to be with, was extremely knowledgeable, and we filled almost 2 hours with a great, great walking history of Charleston. When returning again, we would likely repeat with Palmer...she was fantastic.
