Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

My husband and I knew when we planned our trip to Charleston that we wanted to learn about the history of the city. Oyster Point Tours' online reviews were so great we thought that would be the perfect solution! Palmer was absolutely amazing as a tour guide! Her knowledge and personality made the tour so much more interesting. Our group was a fairly small one so we got a very "custom" experience that covered all the bases. The 2 hour tour flew by! We would definitely recommend Oyster Point to anyone visiting the area!!

Bill Harris was our tour guide and we LOVED him. So energetic and informative. We loved his passion for history and Charleston. I wish the tour was longer. Highly recommend!!!

Bill's stated goal at the beginning of our experience with him was to go deeper rather than broader and to send us away with a richer understanding of Charleston's history than we might get from a recitation of names and dates and a cute story or two. Mission accomplished! One of the best tours my wife and I have ever been on. You will walk away feeling fortunate that you spent a few hours with Bill.
