Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

Palmer was a great, informative, friendly and knowledgeable. It was clear that this wasn't her job, but profession and passion. We had been in Charleston a day already, but it was just a place until Palmer brought it alive through the history and how it shaped the town and it's architecture, food, etc. It truly made us appreciate Charleston and is a steal for the price. We all thought that this was one of the best parts of the trip. Palmer is a fast talker, but easy to understand and listen too. It's like getting a 2 1/2 hour tour in a 2 hour time span! Thanks Palmer!

Palmer Stowe was a PERFECT tour guide! Super friendly, high energy, and extremely knowledgeable of the history of Charleston. We loved how she really brought the fascinating history to life by pointing out small details in our surroundings that we would have otherwise missed. After asking us and finding that we were particularly interested in the significance of the architecture, she made sure to include information that really interested us at every stop. For two hours we were entertained, educated, and regaled with amazing stories. Highly recommended! Thanks Palmer!

Awesome tour with a detailed and informative history of Charleston and its historic role in the Civil War, etc. Bill is personable, knowledgeable, and charming! He took us on the deeper dive of everything that the city had to offer from lifestyle to history to culture! 10/10 would recommend.
