Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

We can't say enough about our tour guide Palmer. First off, we totally agree with other reviewers that she is high energy and has an encyclopedic grasp of the area. Most importantly, those traits translate into a wonderfully entertaining and informative two hour walking tour of the City. The day before we toured with Palmer, we had a most disappointing carriage ride with a sub par guide, which left a truly bad taste. Then Palmer came along and made everything right with her insightful and comprehensive overview of the City and her proud history. We left the tour with a true understanding of the proud Charleston tradition and her place in American history. Well done Palmer.

We had a great walking tour with Palmer. She really made the history and architecture of Charleston come to life in such an interesting way. I highly recommend it!

Bill's energy and candor where nothing less than amazing. His knowledge of US History and Charleston in general were down right raw, informative and thought provoking. From the birth of slavery in our country and its history in Charleston, to the Civil War & economics with everything in-berween. This walking tour far surpassed our expectations and all for a great value of $20 per person. By far the best value we received this weekend from our tourism dollars. We highly recommend you call ahead and reserve your time with him or his team.
