Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

My husband and I toured with Bill. To be honest, it wasn't exactly what we were expecting (we chose it because it was the only one with Sunday availability for the day we were there), but it was EXACTLY the tour for us! Bill has a very engaging manner and his presentation of the history of Charleston held us captive. He managed to give us much more than names and dates when pointing to buildings and did so in such a way that Charleston's complex history will remain with us for a long time. If you want to go deeper than surface level history, this tour is definitely for you! Thanks, Bill!

We had Coach for the Highlights of Charleston walking tour. Would definitely recommend. Coach was a great guide who could answer in depth every question asked about Charleston, with some interesting general knowledge thrown in.

My husband and I took a walking tour with Bill Harris and found him to be extremely interesting and knowledgeable. His delivery is so engaging that the time passed very quickly and his content is full of substance. We highly recommend his tour to anyone visiting Charleston!
