Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

Palmer was an excellent tour guide. She was so wonderfully educated in the history of the city, and was very engaging. I’ve never visited Charleston before, and I am thankful to be leaving my visit with such a wealth of knowledge of its past. 12/10 recommend.

Palmer was an amazing tour guide! My friend and I were visiting Charleston for just a couple of days and wanted to see the highlights of the city. Palmer was very knowledgeable and engaging, and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing the sights with her and learning about their history. I highly recommend this tour!

I highly recommend the Highlights of Charleston Walking Tour. We covered many of the historical landmarks but also learned about some architectural features of the buildings. It’s right at 2 hours and does not end at the same location where it started. However, it’s not too far from the starting location. We were also able to go inside the churches and the historic theater. Our guide, Palmer, was very knowledgeable and likable.
