This is a moderate hike at altitude that many guests may find challenging. This tour is not recommended for people who do not regularly exercise. Out of respect for the other guests on the tour, please consider our Rocky Mountain National Park sightseeing tour if you are unsure if you can meet the physical requirements. Our guides reserve the right to ask guests to stop or turn around on the hike.
We cannot guarantee a specific trail - we chose based on day, condition, crowds.
From November to April, waterproof shoes are highly recommended. Wool socks are also recommended.
Winter weather conditions may exist in the park, please dress adequately for potentially snowy conditions and low temperatures.

This tour of the Rockies was in my top 3 favorite things we did while visiting Denver. My husband and I packed our layers, wore our hiking boots and easily met up with the group early in the AM. Gentry was our tour guide and we could immediately tell we were in good hands. Gentry was super knowledgeable about Denver, the Rockies, and above all felt very safe in her hands. We hiked Deer Mountain as she mentioned that the tour guides can choose a handful of different trails due to many reasons. Our tour was keeping up so she hiked a little faster and we all still kept up. We were all having a great time and excited that we were so close to the top. We pushed ourselves a little more and we made it! She said that's the first time a group made it to the top of this trail with her. The views were incredible. We took loads of pictures and ate lunch up there. The sandwiches provided were really good. But I will say, Gentry told us all at the beginning to hike your own pace. We took breaks often for water and pictures. She would tell us mountain stories and took pictures of us. It was a fabulous hike. I would do it again!

Aaron was amazing! Incredibly knowledgeable and added so much to the hike. It was a good balance of taking a scenic stroll and feeling like you were getting some exercise. 100% recommend.
