Even it was a rainy day we had an amazing day. Excelent option for little groups. Excellent service and great explanation of all the history of hawaii and the volcanos. Jill was very kind and nice. We highly recommend this as an option.

We were educated and entertained by Josh on our recent tour with Mauka Makai! He immediately made us feel comfortable and throughout the day imparted interesting and thought provoking historical information about Hawaii and the features we saw. His rich knowledge of many cultural and historical components of Hawai'i were fascinating. He also ensured we had the maximum opportunity to see some exciting stops along the way - turtles at a Black Sand Beach, walking on the caldera of an active volcano, experiencing "steam" vents and a beautiful waterfall - all topped off by a delicious lunch! This tour was exceptional - and we really appreciate how we were treated to a fun-filled, interesting day by Josh! We would definitely recommend this company to anyone and would use them again!! Thank you Josh and Jill for an excellent experience!

This covered a lot in Hilo. We went to the Volcano National Park which was breathtaking. Then on to the Lava tubes which was unbelievable. Josh our guide made sure we had head lamps on as it is pitch black inside of these tubes. He made sure everyone was comfortable based on their physical limitations. We stopped at the Big Island Chocolate store which was delicious. Then onto the Black Sand beach which the size of the beach was a little disappointing but we did get to see 4 sea turtles on the rocks.
