I have been on many Dolphin Tours at Hilton Head. The one I liked the least is the one that leaves from the Watch tower in Sea Pines. Its a Ferry that seats 30 or 40 people and you can't get up close and the boat is hot and too sunny. I like the company Outside Hilton Head because their boats are small and you get an upfront close view of Dolphins with cool sea breezes in your face.

Captain Ben was kind enough to take my fiancé and I out on the tour eventhough no one else signed up for the 11am time slot. Captain Ben was eager to share knowledge about the area and all the animals we encountered along the way. He took his time with us and actually gave us options about what we wanted to see. He slowed the boat down anytime we saw wildlife or asked a question. He allowed us to get a close look of the dolphins as well. He answered all of our questions and even told stories about the islands we traveled near. I highly recommend this dolphin tour, it will not disappoint.

Capt. Ben told us all about the animals, environmental information about the Hilton Head area, as well as the very expensive homes - very interesting. He was accommodating when we actually SAW dolphins (apparently many have moved to warmer waters) but we saw a Mom & calf playing, and some perhaps 3 more of their friends joined us over the next 1.5 hours - including pelicans. Apparently we were "between tides." And, as in the picture, 1 of the dolphins decided to "check us out" (1 eye at a time) which was awesome! He did this several times, we have pictures! Anyway, highly recommend this activity and Capt. Ben!
