The tour was couched beginning and end with info about downtown Juneau which was a good orientation. Then we went gold panning where we were shown how to pan and sift for gold. They were only gold flakes but we put them in a vial to take home as a souvenir. Then we went to the salmon bake in a lovely outdoor atmosphere where we ate at long tables and there was music and song. The food was great with several options. We still had time after lunch to take a short hike to the waterfall and also look at the gift shop. Definitely go and you will have lots of fun.

We had a great time with Sterling. He was knowledgeable about Juneau. We left right on time, even though 4 people had not arrived to the bus yet. After we arrived at the river, Sterling gave great instructions and demonstrated how to pan Gold. We were successful in finding gold. Sterling helped those of us that were a tad bit slower than others. He was a great tour guide for our trip to Gold Creek Salmon Bake where we had an AMAZING meal in an awesome location. Had a wonderful time.
