Our Guide, David, provided interesting stories which were well told. He is a longtime local who clearly loves the material and his enthusiasm is contagious. He also shared good insights into local restaurants and music venues. We had a good experience and you will too !

Fun and informative tour - I learned about Asheville's diverse music history being due to so many travelers, visitors, mountain folk, and a number of recording studios over the last 100 years - drawing musicians here to play and/or record an album or single. You'll learn about musicians who left here to make it big, you'll learn about musicians who return here to settle down. I would go again.

Fascinating tour--our guide David clearly loves (and knows) Asheville and its musical history, and he peppered his overview with all kinds of entertaining details and anecdotes about everyone from Pete Seeger to Asheville native guitar hero Warren Haynes. The stop at Citizen Vinyl took us right into view of an actual vinyl pressing in process. I particularly loved the stories about the Orange Peel's soul shows in the 1960s (Otis Redding!). And the Moogseum was a perfect endpoint destination. Highly recommended--just bring water if the weather is really hot and humid, because the tour lasts a good while (all outdoors after the Citizen Vinyl stop).
