Historic Old Louisville Walking Tour

Overview
The Historic Old Louisville Walking Tour is a guided tour of the heart of the Victorian Mansion district in Old Louisville. Designed by a prominent local architect and historian, this tour focuses on the history and architecture of this nationally recognized historic preservation district boasting the largest collection of Victorian Mansions in the United States. The tour begins in the comfortable, Frederick Law Olmsted designed Visitors Center in Central Park. You are guided through iconic St. James and Belgravia Courts, then proceed along South Fourth Street, Ormsby Avenue, and the grand boulevard Third Street, which was known as Millionaire's Row in the 1890s. Then you are led back to the starting point.
All proceeds from the Historic Old Louisville Walking Tour support the work of the Old Louisville Neighborhood Council, a nonprofit organization that serves as an advocate for the community and works for historic preservation.

Our tour guide was Kelley. She was fantastic. She was funny, extremely knowledgeable, and friendly. She engaged the group in a way that made you want to ask more questions. The route was perfect and the story of Old Louisville is fascinating. Do yourself a favor and go on this tour.

This was an excellent tour of a great part of Louisville. Despite the bitter cold, our guide kept us entertained. Full of random facts of the area. There was almost no question she couldn't answer. Highly recommend.

We had so much fun with Kelly! She had a wealth of information to share and such a bubbly personality. She was so patient with our questions and frequent stops for photos. With the tour you get a great insight to the history of Louisville. Bonus...there is a great burger place just minutes from the visitor center on a Fourth Street. Ask Kelly for directions
