Set sail on the west coast of Hawaii Island for a 3-hour cruise to Captain Cook’s Monument for dinner, as a local historian shares stories and legends of the sites you will see along the way. What To Expect

Kailua Pier

Boarding is 30 minutes prior to departure. Guests are greeted with Island Style Pupus (Appetizers), a complimentary cocktail, Historical Narration and live Hawaiian style music.

Kealakekua Bay

Cruise 24 miles round trip along Kona's Gold Coast learning Hawaiian history, stories, and legends. The narrator will point out many landmarks along the way to Kealakekua Bay that are not visible from land. The narration concludes upon arrival to the bay and dinner is served. The cruise back to the Kailua Pier features live Hawaiian style music, gorgeous vistas of the Kona coastline and sunset.

We got to see some beautiful views of the sunset from the ocean. So recommend the dinner cruise. Dress warmly. I suggest sitting on the top floor of the boat to get the best view of everything. You get one alcoholic drink per person but you can buy more drink coupons. This is an historical tour so you will learn a lot about the island from the historian on board. She is very good and knowledgeable. She sat next to us on the top. If you are lucky, the boat may be followed by a pod of dolphins. We got to see a lot of them up close. The food is very good and it is all you can eat. The cost is reasonable and well worth it. Expect to walk several blocks to the boat dock from the check in office.

The crew on this boat, every one of them, was polite, helpful, nice, attentive. By far the best service staff we have encountered on the island. Really the only bad thing I can say is the historical lady talked Way, Way too much... okay we wanted the landmark information but not your whole life story or 1.5 hours of listening to you talk straight.
