New York's dog lovers erected this statue in 1925 in honor of the Alaskan Malamute "Balto", who led a sled team in Alaska in 1924 to deliver diphtheria antitoxins to the city on Nome.

Built between 1880 and 1884 The Dakota was the first high rise apartment building along Central Park West. John Lennon and Yoko Ono lived here until his assassination in1980 at the building's entrance.

We loved our guide Mario. He was knowledgeable, friendly, thoughtful and fun! We would do this again if Mario was our guide. Also love his horse Moonlight who did a fantastic job under Marioā€™s direction.
