My family and I have done several trail rides across the country, and by far this was our favorite one. We did the Thunder Mountain Trail Ride, and I can't recommend it enough! The entire trail is overwhelmingly scenic, and your guide will help you set up your group for the best photos. The horses were clearly well-cared for and not overly exhausted. The wrangler pairs you with the horse that best fits your experience level as well. This trail had some really fun and exciting moments. While the trail ride itself was stunning, what really made this memorable was our wrangler, Mike. He was so personable and fun to talk to - he remembered all of our names and was able to answer any questions we had, but more than that he was just a really fun guy to get to know and chat with. He honestly made the experience the best for us and by the end of the trail we were joking about all of his "Mikeisms" :) Great wrangler, great horses, gorgeous ride! One thing that I will recommend for the website is that when ordering lunch they should advertise that there is the option to have a gluten-free sandwich. I packed my own small lunch because I didn't know they did lettuce wraps, but Mike told me that they do offer gluten-free lunches as they make the sandwiches right before the trail rides in the morning and can easily make your sandwich a lettuce wrap instead and have done so for people before. I think it would be beneficial to add that on the lunch menu on the website for people who need to forego the gluten. This was just a minor hitch and I was personally prepared, so it didn't bother me at all, but it's definitely something that would help future customers. Thanks so much for the awesome time, Mike, you really made this a great and memorable experience for me and my family! ps. trip advisor for some reason doesn't have a family (adults) option for "Who was with you?" but all of the members in my party were adults with the youngest being 22.

This was a great tour. We had Rose as a guide. She gave clear instructions on how to ride the horses and provided great insight throughout the tour. The ride was relaxing and the views were amazing. This ride is suitable for people who have never ridden before.

I've ridden Thunder Mountain Trail on my own horse but wanted to take my sister and a friend on this amazing trail so we rode with Red Canyon Trail Rides. Our wrangler, Mike, was fabulous - he gave my novice sister lots of confidence on this very challenging ride. Lunch was included and the roast beef sandwich in particular was out of this world - seriously, we went the next day to the restaurant for lunch the food on our trail ride was that good. We had a small group so we could stop for photos or to take breaks as needed. Ruby's uses semi's to move their horses - that's how big their groups are. If you want personal attention and not to be eating dust all day - choose Red Canyon Trail Rides. As a life long equestrian I can tell you their horses, equipment and staff are top notch. You will not be disappointed! It was worth every penny.
