What To Expect

Black Hills National Forest

Once the balloon is ready, you’ll gently take to the skies for an approximate 1-hour flight over the Black Hills National Forest. If you are new to ballooning, you’ll be surprised at the silence and serenity you’ll find high above the treetops. It’s truly magical. Upon landing, the ground crew will pack the balloon while you and your pilot celebrate the flight with complimentary champagne, light snacks and a story about the origin of hot air ballooning. Flights depart at sunrise and are weather dependent and always at the discretion of your experienced pilot.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

If you go to the Black Hills area you MUST take a ballon ride with Black Hills balloon. By far the BEST excursion of my 61 year life. An unbelievable experience. Damien and his crew are professional, knowledgeable, personable and experts in their field. A breathtaking view and experience floating above the Black Hills. They exceeded my expectations and this is a must do if you are in the area. A priceless experience you will have.

Wow! Just wow! Our entire experience with this company was phenomenal! Damien and his wife, Kerry were so friendly and helpful. You can tell they enjoy this business of theirs and flying. It was our first balloon flight experience and it was awesome...the best way to celebrate our 40th anniversary. The scenery was beautiful, the flight was smooth and relaxing...and Damien, our pilot and owner was full of interesting information...and hilarious! Would highly recommend this fun adventure!
