What To Expect

Black Hills National Forest

Once the balloon is ready, you’ll gently take to the skies for an approximate 1-hour flight over the Black Hills National Forest. If you are new to ballooning, you’ll be surprised at the silence and serenity you’ll find high above the treetops. It’s truly magical. Upon landing, the ground crew will pack the balloon while you and your pilot celebrate the flight with complimentary champagne, light snacks and a story about the origin of hot air ballooning. Flights depart at sunrise and are weather dependent and always at the discretion of your experienced pilot.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Our 4th flight up and this outfit ranked at the top of our experience. All of the pilots have years of experience and the flight had 3 balloon groups. This was awesome for photohraphy opportunities. It was like being one with nature- Mike had a great sense of humor and was an amazing pilot! Mimosa toasts and a beautiful memory we will cherish forever- Do this adventure with Black Hills Hot Air Balloon! You wont regret it!!

The scenery was so beautiful. It was a nice day, the landscape was lovely and the pilot had area information that made the flight interesting. I highly recommend this as an addition to exploring the Black Hills. I hope to repeat the experience. I highly recommend this activity.
