What To Expect

Black Hills National Forest

Once the balloon is ready, you’ll gently take to the skies for an approximate 1-hour flight over the Black Hills National Forest. If you are new to ballooning, you’ll be surprised at the silence and serenity you’ll find high above the treetops. It’s truly magical. Upon landing, the ground crew will pack the balloon while you and your pilot celebrate the flight with complimentary champagne, light snacks and a story about the origin of hot air ballooning. Flights depart at sunrise and are weather dependent and always at the discretion of your experienced pilot.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

The whole trip was AWESOME! Don’s personal stories made our flight even more memorable! The whole trip was one that we will never forget. We have decided that even though this was our first ride, it definitely will not be our last, WE ARE HOOKED!! What an incredible experience! I highly recommend this flight to anyone. I felt safe, secure and in good hands the entire time. Damien was our pilot and I found him to be not only professional and knowledgeable, his Irish brogue added to his charm. And his crew were such hard workers, ensuring we had a safe landing. Awesome teamwork!! This is a must-do in the Black Hills!
