What To Expect

Black Hills National Forest

Once the balloon is ready, you’ll gently take to the skies for an approximate 1-hour flight over the Black Hills National Forest. If you are new to ballooning, you’ll be surprised at the silence and serenity you’ll find high above the treetops. It’s truly magical. Upon landing, the ground crew will pack the balloon while you and your pilot celebrate the flight with complimentary champagne, light snacks and a story about the origin of hot air ballooning. Flights depart at sunrise and are weather dependent and always at the discretion of your experienced pilot.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Damian was a great pilot, we went straight in the air with no waiting around. We had a smooth ride he made the riders that were kinda scared feel at ease. I would definitely recommend to to all who want the once in a lifetime experience. We were a party of five and we went with another family, we told jokes and we had a good time in the air the the pilot telling jokes. I need not forget the crew that was Johnny on the spot with helping us with the landing and taking pictures for us afterwards. Champagne toast at 6am are the best. Thanks again to this company.

Black Hills Balloons was easy to book and they are quick to respond to emails. They were watching the weather conditions right up until we launched. Damien and his crew work very well together and you can tell they enjoy what they do. They are quick-witted and confident which helps ease in nervousness in first time balloon flyers. Flying with Black Hills Balloons is worth every penny!
