What To Expect

Black Hills National Forest

Once the balloon is ready, you’ll gently take to the skies for an approximate 1-hour flight over the Black Hills National Forest. If you are new to ballooning, you’ll be surprised at the silence and serenity you’ll find high above the treetops. It’s truly magical. Upon landing, the ground crew will pack the balloon while you and your pilot celebrate the flight with complimentary champagne, light snacks and a story about the origin of hot air ballooning. Flights depart at sunrise and are weather dependent and always at the discretion of your experienced pilot.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Our balloon ride was amazing! Pilot was excellent and the morning of our flight there was some overcast and he made sure we did not take off till safe. Had champagne after the flight and cannot say enough positive things about the pilot. A MUST do item for everyone!!

We took an amazing flight in a beautiful balloon at sunrise over the magnificent Black Hills! The crew and pilots were very organized and provided a first rate experience! It was my first time ever in a balloon, so I was a little nervous, however, the pilot and crew did everything to put me at ease. The views were amazing. The flight was peaceful and beautiful. The landing was very well coordinated with the ground crew and was smooth and easy. It was wonderful to finish it all off with a celebratory snack and champagne! I would highly recommend this experience if you are visiting the Black Hills area!

We had a perfect morning for our flight celebrating my Mother’s 90th birthday. They were very helpful getting her out of the basket. The owners are very friendly and go out of their way for a great experience. Since it was still early in the summer the hills were so green. Also fun watching the deer scamper trying to figure out where the noise was coming from! I recommend wearing layers as it does warm up later, and wear a hat as the flames can get a little warm on your head! Just wish the flight was longer!
