What To Expect

Black Hills National Forest

Once the balloon is ready, you’ll gently take to the skies for an approximate 1-hour flight over the Black Hills National Forest. If you are new to ballooning, you’ll be surprised at the silence and serenity you’ll find high above the treetops. It’s truly magical. Upon landing, the ground crew will pack the balloon while you and your pilot celebrate the flight with complimentary champagne, light snacks and a story about the origin of hot air ballooning. Flights depart at sunrise and are weather dependent and always at the discretion of your experienced pilot.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Such an amazing opportunity to have with Damien, Keely, and their crew! Be patient...It took a third attempt to make it happen, but it was completely worth the wait and early mornings! They were great to work with, and very concerned on the safety of their travelers! If you want an amazing experience, check out Black Hills Balloons! I can say they will not disappoint! We did a balloon ride with the Black Hills balloons in July 2016. It was an absolutely amazing flight! Damien and crew were very helpful and friendly and the ride was breathtaking! We will definitely book another flight when we are back in South Dakota. Highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a remarkable experience.

We absolutely LOVED our balloon flight! It was amazing! The staff was spot on. Damien, Keely and the entire crew made this the best part of our trip! They were fun and friendly as well as very knowledgeable and experienced. The flight is very smooth and peaceful. We loved searching the woods below for wildlife. To have a birds eye view of the beautiful Black Hills was truly a once in a lifetime moment!
