Western Horizons Hot Air Balloons offers breathtaking panoramic views of the beautiful Southern Black Hills of South Dakota. Our hot air balloon rides last approximately one hour. The entire experience from pre-flight set up to post-flight refreshments can last from 2 to 3 hours. We fly out of Hot Springs, SD, just after sunrise, weather permitting.

What a wonderful experience for my sister and me this morning. To help in the inflation of our balloon and the lift off as the sun was rising was a totally awesome sight. Our pilot Dave was very friendly and knowledgeable to explain the details of what was, or would, be happening during our ride. The peace and tranquility of our ride is quite memorable, so I sincerely thank you for the entire experience. I will certainly contact you for future balloon rides with friends and family that come to Hot Springs to visit!

My husband surprised me with a hot air balloon ride and it was AMAZING! Western Horizons (& specifically Petra) were the best. We felt so taken care of throughout the whole experience. It was truly a one-in-a-lifetime adventure. The sunrise was beautiful and so was the weather. I would highly recommend Western Horizons if you’re looking for an outstanding time.
